At the start of every year we get overwhelmed with diets, exercise crazes, things to cut out, to add and well just the whole wellness industry goes into overdrive and if your anything like me your left thinking where the hell do I start.
In 2017 I knew I wanted to continue my good work I had built up in 2016 regards to exercising and eating better. So I decided after a bit of research I wanted to invest in a programme that really works for me. It takes in the considerations of where I am in my wellness journey. So over a period of a couple of weeks I purchased these four books that I think will set me up well for 2017. I thought I would share these books with you.
The Fat Burn Revolution by Julia Buckley – I had come across Julia on twitter and checked out her website and ethos. I do that a lot and if it speaks to me in some way that’s how folks gain me as a follower. I really like Julia’s approach and am enjoying this book.
Strong by Zanna Van Dijk – I was I think very late to the party with finding Zanna on Youtube and her blog. I spent a wee while I guess you could say stalking her in a non creepy manner online just getting a feel for what she represented. I knew she had a new book coming out after Christmas and during November hummed and heyed as to where to pre-purchase. I really didn’t want to get a book that wasn’t going to be of value to me but eventually in December I purchased and after Christmas when in the zone to make some changes to my lifestyle this tomb popped through my door. It’s a big book with a guess like all these books bits you already know and other where you learn great things. Long story glad that this book is part of my own personal trainer pack.
101 Ways to Workout with Weights by Cindy Whitmarsh – I sort of go against the flow when it comes to fitness and would much prefer to work out in my home (hello did I not just say last week I was an introvert) I know after spending time with my trainer last year how important strength/weight training is. I love this book as it’s giving you all types of weight lifts/exercises that I can combine together with my other training. What’s not to love.
Fit in 3 The Scandi Plan by Faya Nilsson – I stumbled across Faya again on twitter ( I know I should step away from twitter but I do love it). And anything that simplifies what I need to do I will love and her book is brilliant. Lovely Scandi recipes to mix up with my other books. Again what’s not to love.
So these ladies are going to be my personal trainers in 2017 and I can’t wait. I should say all these books are available from Amazon or wherever else you purchase books from. I had thought of adding to this books with Kayla Itsines as I had her new book on my wishlist and thought that would be a definite as she seems to have a massive following (not that will make me buy something but thought she must be doing something right) however, when I actually got the chance to flick through her book it was more recipes rather than fitness training. I might get it but am fine with the ladies above for the moment. The other book I am definitely going to get and love following online is The Food Medic, her book isn’t out until May I think but that will definitely be added to my collection.
