Enjoying Edinburgh during the festival, sure I didn’t see to many shows but the buzz has been brilliant and even more so that I have been off for the last two weeks in August.
Listening I seriously couldn’t wait until the start of this month when the amazingly talented The Civil Wars launched their much-anticipated second album ‘The Civil Wars’. Its release was much hyped due to the fact that the two members of the band Joy Williams and John Paul White are currently not speaking and have been this way since February. In fact they announced their split two days after I saw them in concert in Glasgow. So when they announced that they had made a new album I couldn’t wait and what an album it is. You must listen to it, its beautiful.
Reading Joanne Harris follow-up to Chocolat called Peaches for Monsieur le Curé it is such a lovely summer read and for me all the more poignant due to actually meeting Joanne at the Edinburgh International Book Festival (see picture below).
Buying A new camera, after lots and lots and lots of research I have ordered my new baby, I am so unbelievably excited about this. I don’t know exactly when I will get it but I promise to share details when I do:-)
Learning To do light trails on my camera, honestly this has been on my wish list forever so the other night when I did my first one, well, I will never forget it!
Looking forward to starting my online photography course next month. Yes, you might have got a theme here, I don’t mind admitting it but I am totally obsessed with all things photography!
Watching The Paperboy, wow what can I say, I can’t believe that film is only a 15 rating it’s so raw and left me feeling quite disturbed for days afterwards. Brilliant acting by Zac Efron, Matthew McConaughey, Nicole Kidman and unbelievable creepy acting from John Cusack.
So that’s if for my currently this month, thanks for reading.
